The Center for American and International Law (CAIL) (formerly the Southwestern Legal Foundation) is a 501 (c) 3 organization located in Plano, Texas. Our programs extend beyond Texas and benefit participants from other states and countries. Founded in 1947, CAIL has earned a reputation for excellence in education. For nearly 75 years, CAIL has
worked to improve the quality of justice through continuing education to lawyers, judges, and law enforcement officials. CAIL continues to be governed by prominent attorneys, judges, law professors, and law enforcement officials. Every gift, regardless of the amount, positively impacts the programming and continuing education CAIL provides.
Your Impact
While there are numerous ways to show your support for CAIL’s mission, these are a few ways to have a direct impact on continuing education:
Academy of American and International Law Scholarships
Scholarships will provide funding for tuition and room/board for participants from developing countries so that they can attend the Academy.
Law Enforcement Ethics Scholarships
In a time when department budgets have been stretched to the limit, scholarships are used to provide critical ethics and diversity training for police officials.
Visiting Fellows for Various institutes
CAIL’s Visiting Fellows program brings distinguished law, law enforcement, or public service practitioners for a short yet comprehensive stay.
